Q: Where do you play and when?

A: Waddesdon CoE Secondary School (School Lane, Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire, HP18 0LQ) in the sports hall, which is to the left as you come through the school gates. We play between 7pm and 8.30pm every Tuesday during school term times. It is a drop in and play, so if you'd prefer to start later/finish earlier etc that's up to you!

Q: How much is it?

A: The first session is free and then it's only £3 per session thereafter.

Q: Do you play in a league(s)?

A: We do not. There are many badminton clubs in the area who do, but we just play for fun.

Q: Can I borrow a racket?

A: We have a handful of spare rackets we can lend out (though many people love the sport so much they end buying their own very quickly).

Q: What do I need to bring/wear?

A: Just yourselves, a racket and a drink. Regular sports clothes and non-marking trainers are more than fine.

​

Q: I've never played before, can anyone come along?

A: Yes! All abilities are welcome. We are not a competitive club and rather pride ourselves on creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where the main aim is just to have a bit of fun.

Q: Do I have to pay a membership fee?

A: No! It's just pay (£3) to play - no sign-ups etc.

Q: I want to come to the next session, who should I contact?

A: There's no need to contact us (unless you want to), just turn up on the night! If you do have any questions however, please drop us a message.

Q: Do you facilitate games for young people under the age of 18 or those undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh Award?

A: We are fortunate to have a strong contingent of regular adult players, with all our courts in use during club evenings. As our primary focus is to provide a relaxed environment for adults to come and enjoy sport, we have made the decision not to permit new players under 18. Badminton clubs which cater for younger people in Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire can be found online. Please be aware that in the interest of fairness, there will be no allowances to this.

Q. Where can I stay up-to-date with everything Waddesdon Badminton?

A: As well at this website we also a have Facebook page (link below) which we update regularly. We also run a club WhatsApp group which can be signed up to at our sessions. A link to the Group Policy can be found at the bottom of this page.
